Class One: The Mind-field and Heart-field, An Introduction

Master Charles Cannon expands the conversation about the two vertical polarities of the relative field to include two complementary horizontal polarities which, all together, constitute the four quadrants of what is known as the Holistic Model of Reality. He discusses the problem of the incoherent mind-field versus the coherent heart-field and their often dysfunctional relationship. He concludes by describing how to balance the two in order to more fully experience the eternal “now” of true reality.

Application – Class Practice

In Master Charles’ opening class in this course, he emphasized the balance position through a focus on thoughts, words and the spaces between them. Thoughts and words represent form—the exterior, objective polarity. The spaces between the words and thoughts represent the non-dominant opposite polarity—the interior, subjective polarity.

His focus was upon the spaces between the words, thus emphasizing the non-dominant positive polarity. With focused awareness on the empty spaces simultaneous to the words, the mind-field is balanced and wakefulness increases. The heart-field is actualized. Awareness expands proportional to balance and we are present in the happening of consciousness that is true reality.

Throughout his presentation, Master Charles returned the viewer, again and again, to focus on the stillness of the spaces. He reminded the viewer that wholeness is proportional to balance. Thus, he empowered wakefulness… to be aware of the newness of the happening of the consciousness that we are…as a witnessing consciousness watching itself as blissful consciousness.
