Class One: The Holistic Model of Reality and the Mechanics of Consciousness

In this first class, Master Charles Cannon charts his modernization of the Holistic Model of Reality as a relative field of experience. He then articulates this model as two great cycles – the involutionary cycle of polarized dominance to the objective /negative polarity and the evolutionary cycle of polarized reversal to the subjective/positive in the progressive process towards ever-increasing integrative wholeness. Involution describes losing awareness of your oneness with all of life; evolution describes regaining it. Understanding this model enables you to pinpoint where your consciousness currently is, relative to these cycles. This is your starting point for ongoing personal growth.

The meaning captured in the paragraph above alerts you to the specificity of this material, far beyond the generalized theories that populate much of “new age philosophy”. You are learning the actual “mechanics of consciousness”, which are described during this class in modern terms that are easily understood and immediately revelatory. This class is supplemented with practical applications to empower your experience the increasing balance and wholeness.

Application – Class Practice

The focus of this class is wakefulness through the experience of the balance position. The exterior polarity is active and noisy. The interior is still and quiet. The exterior, negative polarity is default dominant over the interior, non-dominant positive polarity. The exterior polarity always has our attention. Thus, we bring our focus to the non-dominant, still interior and hold it in simultaneity to the exterior. We create balance. Awareness expands and we experience holistic reality as a wakeful consciousness watching the experience that is happening.
